Hmmm… no.

There we go much better
Can someone in the Stephen universe fandom explain this to me?
Steven has Rose Quartz gem; basically she died in childbirth and gave him her gem. I do believe that she deserves to be up there b/c she died so he could live, but the other gems deserve to up there as well b/c Rose could not raise Steven. Garnet, Pearl, Amethyst, and Greg raise Steven. So while Rose is his biological mom, Garnet, Pearl, & Amethyst are his adoptive moms.
Everyone who’s all “bad post OP”, You guys have not seen the lastest episdes, lol.
If it’d just be about the raising bit, Finn’s mom shouldn’t be here either, heck she didn’t know her son is alive for like 13? years and then wanted to “imprison” him.
Finn’s mom is questionable, but ai agree with the gems being there.
I have

no idea

what you’re

talking about

i do believe this is my fifth time reblogging this

apart form sebastian though he goes from this to this

seb’s the weird cousin

Seb’s the fanboy they grew to connect with the audience
@snowyseba This explains everything!
I’ve only seen this post in screenshots on pinterest. I love it.
I think you missed the other fanboy…

Love this
Everybody says Seb isn’t like Bucky… but he IS. He’s Bucky without a mask on. Bucky’s always wearing some sort of mask. Even around Steve. Seb is what Bucky would be like if he’d had the chance to just ~be~.
UH THIS
Um we’re forgetting someone…

This is too good to not reblog
Everybody see this, this is the quality trash I came to Tumblr in the first place.
Remember that episode “Say Uncle”? The April Fools episode in which “nothing was canon”?
Uncle Grandpa tells Steven that he needs to get his gem polished “twice a year”- every six months.
Looking back, this is strange. Rose Quartz does not need to be polished at all- it’s just not needed.
But, what does need to be polished twice a year? Diamond.
According to a gem cleaning website, TheSpruce, diamonds need to be professionally cleaned “once every six months”. Or twice a year.
A line ignored in an April Fools episode revealed the biggest plot twist in the show’s history.
I can’t believe that the eldritch god of chaos knew it all along….
I mean… Foreshadow goes back to season 1 and they clearly played us like a sand castle but DAMN I did not knew that!
I love a show that just manage to give us a hint and we don’t even know it. Especially coming from an April Fools episode.
CAUSE EVERY TIME WE TOUCH I GET THIS FEELING

EVERY TIME WE KISS I SWEAR I COULD FLY

CAN’T U FEEL MY HEART BEAT FAST, I WANT THIS TO LAST

NEED YOU BY MY SIDE

This is the closest gif that can really capture the utter chaotic energy that is released when people hear this song
So after the big reveal, there was a lot of uproar, with people getting furious over what Pink Diamond did. Heck, I was one of them.

But after thinking it over, I realized that maybe some of it is being a bit overstated. There’s been a lot of talk about how Rose was evil or how she created a war because she was bored or how she only created Steven to run away from responsibility.
Y’all. The vast majority of evidence does not support this.
So anyway, here are some important reminders:

“Curiosity turned to appreciation. Appreciation turned to fondness. And fondness turned to love.”

Honestly, I still stand by the theory that she created Steven at least in part because she hoped that a human’s capacity to grow might mean that he would eventually become powerful enough to heal them. I mean, he did go further in healing Centipeedle than Rose ever did, and he still has a lot of growth to come. It makes sense that Rose saw that she had reached a plateau and hoped that Steven could do better.

“Why won’t you just let me do this for you, Rose?”
“Did Rose make you feel like you were nothing?”
“Rose made me feel like I was…everything.”

Look, obviously Pink Diamond made some pretty huge miscalculations that caused a lot of pain and death. That doesn’t make her a bad person. She had to constantly face a number of hard choices where there was no easy answer, and each time, she went with what she thought was best.
Should she have ordered Pearl to keep quiet? No. Yet, at the time it seemed like the best choice.
Should she have told the other Crystal Gems the truth after the Corruption Song? Maybe. Yet, at the time it seemed like a better choice to keep it hidden.
(Should she have challenged the other Diamonds head-on without a disguise? Hell no, summoning their full wrath would have been suicide, and the Earth would get colonized anyway.)

I get it: it’s easy to demonize someone who comes from a position of power when things go wrong on a major scale. But the fact is that it’s not that simple. People have limits, people have flaws, people make mistakes. Pink is a Diamond. Her choices were always going to have far-reaching consequences, and she tried her best given what she had. We’re in a morally grey zone with both positive and negative outcomes.
This seems about the best explanation to Pink Diamond/Rose’s reasoning and there are evidence that supports it throughout the show.
remember when fyre fest happened like a year or so ago and there was this article where the attendees complained about how shitty it was but there was this one middle class dude who won a ticket through like a lottery or something and had the time of his life because rich people suffering is great. i hope y’all remember it is today’s mood

god i AM josh.
I can never watch a conversation again without this post following me around
